Today we have visited the British International School in Bratislava (BISB) and organized a presentation in English on the topic “FIRST LEGO League and robotics”. Approximately 280 students of Secondary joined our presentation.
Our main goal was to introduce young students the world of science and technology in a funny and sporty atmosphere. Secondly, we wanted to make it easier for them to attend a FLL competition or to participate in similar activities. So we shared a bit of our “know-how”.
The presentation was made interactive with many possibilities for the students to engage in our tasks and activities during the presentation. We got a very warm welcome from the audience, which helped to make our presentation even better. The students were really active and motivated. It was a great entertaining experience for both us and them.
At the end we announced a competition mainly for students of the BISB, but everyone can participate. The task is to build a robot from LEGO bricks and send us a photo. The most interesting ones win.
More information about the competition here: LegoBot competition.
We welcomed a group of talented young robot constructors and programmers Team Talentum at our Secondary Assembly. Team Talentum is taking part in robot competitions First LEGO League, Robocup and actively engaging in popularisation of science and technology. Since 2011 our team has achieved numerous successes in Slovakia and has taken part in many international competitions in Netherlands, Brasil and USA.
